LFB Specialist Rescue Training Centre, Beckton The Specialist Rescue Training Centre in Beckton, London is the London Fire Brigade’s Premier training centre for Rescue and Lifesaving. This centre includes an Urban Search and Rescue Rig, with 5 collapsed buildings and areas, Heights Rescue with a mock crane and abseil tower, Confined Space Rescue with an underground maze of tunnels, Breathing Apparatus with a BA Smoke Chamber, Railway Rescue with mock railway tracks, Disaster Scenarios with a large rubble field, 2 Classroom areas, medical demonstrations, an Incident Command suite and more. It also includes several vehicle garages and storage areas, as well as a huge river for confined space rescue. The Centre also includes communal areas like a restaurant and sports hall, as well as locker rooms and a reception area.
